Pratie Heads - Workshops

Bob Vasile teaches open-tuning guitar workshops and beginning and/or intermediate/advanced bouzouki. He's presented his workshops at:

• The Augusta Heritage Center Irish Week

• The Winnipeg Folk Festival

• The Memphis Dulcimer Gathering

• The Black Mountain Music Festival.

For two decades Jane Peppler taught "Songs for Non-Singers," "Ensemble Singing," and "Slow-Jams" at Duke University for the Short Course Program. She teaches workshops in vocal technique, harmony singing, Balkan song, and various themed workshops (shape-note singing, Jewish song, songs of the supernatural, etc.) and has presented her workshops at:

• Village Harmony summer camps: 2005 3-week teen travel camp, 2006 10-day adult camp.

• Pinewoods Camp "Folk Music Week" (two years)

• North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (she was the one and only teacher and entertainer for a week-long seminar)

• The Folklore Society of Greater Washington

• The first Jewish Music Festival in Charleston South Carolina

• Retreat weeks (several years) at Wildacres (Little Switzerland, NC)

• Sacred Harp Singing Schools at Piccolo Spoleto

• Sacred Harp Singing School with the NC shape note singers - and a cappella workshop in conjunction with Professor Jack Bernhardt's lecture - at the Ulster-American Folk Park in Omagh, Ireland.
